WHAT'S HAPPENING AROUND HERE.

Why Sunset is My Favorite Time for Family Portraits

If you’ve ever looked through my family gallery and wondered why so many sessions seem to glow, there’s a reason for that. One of my favorite times for family sessions is during golden hour, the hour just before the sun sets. The light is soft, warm, and incredibly flattering, but more importantly, it creates an...

Finding the Perfect Location for Your Senior Photos

One of the first questions I ask my seniors is simple: “What do you want your session to feel like?” Before we ever pick a location, choose outfits, or decide on a date, I want to get to know you. Your senior session should reflect your personality, interests, and style, not just what’s popular. That’s...

The newsletter and blog point lands for me. There’s a version of photography marketing that’s basically fighting for attention in an algorithmically compressed slot, and a completely different version that treats the work as something worth explaining. Both have their place but most photographers pick one and never really think about the other.

Running a studio in London called LemonLens, I found that clients who had read longer pieces about the work arrived with a much clearer sense of what they were looking for. They’d already thought through the questions. A blog post or a longer email thread does work that a grid of images simply cannot. Good to see you bringing it back.ReplyCancel
