Introducing the new What to Wear section – fashion inspiration for your daily life
When I was growing up, my sisters and I had our portraits taken every year. That’s right – every single year from the time I was born until I turned 29. So I completely understand what all goes into preparing for a portrait session, and how stressful it can be to find the perfect outfit – especially if you’re trying to coordinate multiple people! Without further ado, I would like to introduce you to “What to Wear”, a new section of the blog designed to provide you with styling tips as well as feature some of my favorite stores, both brick and mortar as well as online. My hopes is that this section will be the place you come for some fashion ideas – get information on up and coming styles, check out some of the hottest clothing stores, as well as get some style tips to not only make you look great for your portrait session, but also inspire you to make your daily life more fashion forward.
To start things out, I’d love to introduce you to Patterns & Pops, a great little women’s clothing store that is based here in Denver, Colorado. You can find them online or in their mobile boutique (Patsy the Fashion Truck) that tours all over the metro area. One look at their website and you’ll see that these ladies are not shy of color or patterns!
Their About Us page says it all:
“The right pattern or bright hue can really be the cherry on top of some of the basics you already own – we promise to make your wardrobe sweeter than it’s ever been”
I love their bold style – it’s just what you need to spice up your closet, but not so over the top that you can’t wear it in your every day life. In fact a lot of their pieces can be paired with your existing basics to create a look all your own. With everything in their store being under $100, it’s fashionable and affordable! And because they carry a lot of classic silhouettes, their store appeals to a wide range of age groups. It’s actually becoming one of my favorite places to send ladies if they are looking for a fun new outfit for their portrait session – especially high school seniors.
If you’re in the market for some new outfits, something fun and fashionable, I highly recommend checking out Patterns & Pops. But I will warn you, if you see something you like, buy it right away! They are constantly changing out their styles and you don’t want to miss out on that perfect piece. Happy Shopping!
