Sarah & Dustin’s Engagement Session | Clarion, Iowa

My 2 week trip to Iowa is coming to an end as I head to Southwest Iowa today to photograph Sarah and Dustin’s wedding this weekend. I’m always so excited to photograph in new places, especially small towns that are usually full of lots of character. I love finding little hidden spots that most people would say “why would you want to photograph there?” but then when they see the final product they are blown away. Where I am headed has a lot of Danish heritage, so I’m sure I’ll find some place fun and unique to utilize!

While I’m on the road traveling today I thought I would share with you some images from Sarah and Dustin’s engagement session we did last fall in Clarion. The leaves were just starting to turn colors, so I wanted to take advantage of that and do the session at nearby Lake Cornelia. Dustin and Sarah are not just starting a new life together, they are bringing together two families to make one, so of course we included Sarah’s daughter and Dustin’s son into the session too. These two little ones are just so darn cute!

One of the things that I love about Dustin and Sarah are their personalities. They are easy going, love to have fun, and are totally in love with each other. Their personalities compliment each other so well. I am definitely looking forward to capturing the next chapter in their love story on Saturday.
