This is Maya! Maya has the same story as a lot of my seniors. Her older sister was part of my high school senior Street Team a couple years ago and she saw how much fun Jade had. When it was her turn, Maya applied right away to be a part of my Class of 2020 Street Team and we started the senior photos session journey in spring of her Junior year.
Maya is a super laid back kind of a girl. She had mentioned in her pre-session questionnaire that she was open to any type of location for her senior photos session – city, alley, flowers, nature, water – anywhere I wanted to take her. Before a session, I always scout out a few spots to know what my options are and to get some ideas, but then I wait to see what they bring for outfits and then put a final game plan together.
Maya had great outfits. The black and white plaid shirt I knew would look great in an alley near the Clarion studio. That alley has a gray stucco wall, so it would have a very monochromatic feel with her outfit, but then it does have some red bricks and some patches of grass to throw a little color in the images. I really like the simplicity of these images and how it really made Maya the center of the photo.
Maya had told me that one of her favorite places to hang out is Lake Cornelia, so it was the perfect location for the rest of her senior photos session. We were doing her senior pictures in mid September, so there weren’t a ton of flowers left but we did find a patch that had some yellow blooms that went great with her yellow top. Her last outfit was a purple top (Maya’s favorite color!) that I thought went really well with the walking bridge.
