Senior photos with a little bit of urban, a little bit of nature and a whole lot of style
Meet Sarah, an outgoing senior from Mountain Vista High School and a part of my Senior Model Team for the Class of 2016. Sarah is really involved in her school being a member of DECA, an organization focused on preparing future entrepreneurs, and Interact, a community service club. After high school, she plans on heading off to college with the dream of breaking into the fashion design industry. She’s definitely got the sense of style to make it in the fashion industry!
Being a part of my Model Team this past year, Sarah got to participate in the Model Debute Session this spring. It was a lot of fun! I had my makeup artists on location to do the girls’ makeup (the fabulous Ali B did Sarah’s makeup for this session) so they definitely got the star treatment.
After photographing Sarah in her own outfit, I wanted to play around with a few outfits that Patterns & Pops had provided to me for the shoot. The extra fluffy tulle skirt and graphic tee were perfect for Sarah. I love how her red shoes were a fun contrasting pop to the whole look.
I believe that your senior photos are all about you and showcasing your personal style, no matter what that might be. Take Sarah for example – she classifies her style as “earthy, feminine” because she loves to wear flowy fabrics and feminine silhouettes. But she also has a polished sophisticated side to her as well. When we were discussing locations for her senior photos, I wanted to find a place were we could highlight both of these looks and create some diversity in her images. Morrison was the perfect area because we could utilize the beautiful landscape and Red Rocks (her favorite place on Earth!) for her earthy/natural side, and then could head into downtown Morrison for a little more of the sophisticated/urban vibe.
