An annual party to raise money for ladies in Wright County

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and every year during this month you’re able to find various events that are put on to not only raise awareness of the disease but also raise money to go towards research, prevention, and treatments.

One of my all time favorite events is the annual Drink for Pink event in my hometown. What I love the most about this event is all the money raised stays locally in Wright County and goes towards providing women with important health care that they might not otherwise be able to afford. This is definitely the ultimate giving back to the community event!

This year marks Drink for Pink’s 6th anniversary and organizer Rachel Barrett is looking to make this the best year yet. Last year they raised a little over $7ooo – let’s try to beat that number this year.

Mark your calendars for this coming Saturday, October 24th at 7pm at Chappy’s on Main in Clarion and join in on the fun. There’s going to be a DJ, auction and raffle prizes you won’t want to miss out on. Purchase a sweet koozie (donated by yours truly and my fiance Patrick so all proceeds go towards the cause) and you’ll be able to enjoy drink specials all night.
