Twin Cities Senior Portrait Photography | Ashley – Class of 2011

Ashley is one of my senior models, representing the studio at Woodbury High. We had a fantastic senior model session earlier this spring and now she’s back to do her full senior session. Her session was so much fun! She brought killer outfits, Jody Olson of Makeup Savvy did a phenomenal job on Ashley’s makeup, and we just had a blast hanging out and creating some great photos that really capture who Ashley is. Since she’s got lighter colored hair, we did some really fun high key images on the white background which really made her eyes pop! She’s really into music and singing so she brought along some sheet music that we made a sweet background out of. I think my favorite images are the ones we did outdoors. The session was later in the afternoon and so by the time we got to the outdoor part, the lighting was PERFECT! I even had her do a little cat walk strut down one of the alleys which resulted in some amazing movement shots with her hair flowing behind her. My absolute favorites!!!!

Twin Cities Senior Portrait Photography | Alex’s Senior Model Session

I am getting super excited for senior season to get into full swing. These past couple of weeks that I have photographed my senior models, has really gotten me in the groove again. I’m constantly online searching for new backgrounds and props the seniors would love, honing my photographic skill and experimenting with new lighting in studio, and designing some killer grad cards for this year’s graduating seniors. The creativity is really flowing! So I was super excited when Alex came in for her senior modeling session. I had photographed Alex before (last year we did a modeling session to create new head shots to submit to local agencies) and so I knew she was very relaxed behind the camera and I would be able to play around. My makeup artist, Jody from Makeup Savvy here in Stillwater, created three different looks and Alex just KILLED the session. I couldn’t believe the fantastic shots we got! Twin Cities Senior Portrait Photography | Shelby’s Senior Model Session

Last year I got to photograph the fabulous Shelby while doing some promo shots for Karma Clothing Co., a local consignment shop specializing in name brand clothing. I had such a blast with her that I knew I’d HAVE to have her as a Senior Model this year, when she’s going to be a senior. So you can imagine my excitement when she applied to be a Senior Model and came in for her model session. Jody, my makeup artists extraordinaire, and I worked with the fantastic outfits that Shelby brought, tried out some different backgrounds, and created some fantastic looks for her model cards. These are just a few of my favorites…she really rocked the session and it was hard for me to pick just a couple photos to share…but here they are! (More on my facebook page if you want to see them).

Twin Cities Senior Photography | Ashley’s Senior Model Session

Well it’s about that time of year again – SENIOR SEASON! I can’t tell you how excited I am to get back in the studio, meet these fantastic seniors and create some amazing portraits that they can’t wait to show their friends. This year, in order to help spread the word about my studio, I’m finding soon-to-be high school seniors to be Senior Models and help get my name into the schools. So without further ado…here is Ashley! She’s going to be a senior at Woodbury High School next year and we met through her mom Lori who is a wedding planner (her company is called Veiled Events – you should really check her out if you’re in need of an awesome wedding planner!) Anyways, back to Ashley, she came into the studio last week for her model session. One of the perks to being a Senior Model is not only do you get a free session out of the deal but you get your makeup professionally done by the great Jody Olson of Makeup Savvy here in Stillwater. We played around with a couple different looks, tried out some new lighting and backgrounds and had a blast! This was a great kick off to my super fun senior season. Can’t wait for it to get into full swing!

Twin Cities Senior Portrait Photography | Class of 2011 Models Wanted!

It’s almost the end of the school year, which means we’re gearing up for the new class of seniors! Kristina Lynn Photography & Design is currently taking applications for our Senior Models program. What are senior models, you ask? They are fabulous seniors who become rock stars by being featured in our advertising and represent the studio in their schools while getting some cool perks in return, such as a FREE modeling session and discounted summer session. We’re looking for anyone and everyone – jocks, cheerleaders, band members, chess players, YOU NAME IT! Happy New Year from Kristina Lynn Photography & Design

Well it’s officially here….the year of 2010. Not quite sure how 2009 managed to slip by so fast, but it did! Seems like just yesterday I was filling out the paper work and getting ready to start my business – and now here we are, almost a year later. I want to thank all my wonderful clients and blog followers for making my first year in business a success. I am truly looking forward to the upcoming year and what it all has in store for the studio. I’m currently working on updating the website with new images and information (and maybe even a new look…we shall see!), working on new, unique products to offer my clients, and also taking time to learn new techniques to improve my photography. Twin Cities Senior Photography | Sneak Peek from Tom’s Senior Session

The best part of my job, I think, is getting to meet and get to know a variety of people. Tom is a very creative senior who plays guitar and sings in his local band Say Goodnight Graciee. He has a very distinct personality, style and is a natural in front of the camera. So easy to photograph! Since this October has been super crazy weather wise, we split his session and did the indoors part on one day and then the outdoors on a different day (luckily it wasn’t raining then too!). Even though we captured some killer shots indoors, I think my favorite images came from the outdoor session. Not sure if it was because it was an overcast day so we could go ANYWHERE in downtown and have great lighting or if it was because Tom brought along his guitar and played a little during the session. Either way I’m so excited to post some of his images!!! If you’d like to see more, I’m posting some to my Facebook page and then to my website in the next couple days. So check them out! Twin Cities Senior Photography | Sneak Peek from Chelsea’s Senior Session

Earlier this week I put some of the images from Chelsea’s senior session on my Facebook page, now time for the blog entry. Can’t believe it’s almost been two weeks since Chelsea came in for her session (where is the time going?!) My favorite thing about the session, other than Chelsea’s great personality, was the outfits she brought. Talk about your bright, fun colors! I think my favorite was the teal dress that really popped off the rusty fence we used for a background. I also adore the images of her in the prairie field – perfect candidates for the vintage color treatment! Thanks for coming in Chelsea! Can’t wait to show you the rest of the images.
