Recently I had the opportunity to travel into Wisconsin and visit Burkhaven Resort. Burkhaven is a family owned and operated getaway resort located in Osceola and is a perfect place for family reunions, weddings or just a weekend getaway. With various cozy buildings you can rent out and miles of walking trails through the woods, it’s a great place to get away from the big city life!

These are just a few of the images I captured at Burkhaven. Definitely give them a call the next time you’re looking to get away or need a place to hold a get together!

Awhile back, Cates Fine Homes contacted me to photograph the exterior of a house they were remodeling. They were being published and needed some images right away, but the house wasn’t quite done yet, so we just captured a couple of the outside for the publication. Now the house is complete and ready for the interior to be photographed so in I went! And, as usual, it was a dream to photograph. Jennifer had staged it so nicely and all the high end finishes really made the images pop. I love it how Cates always finds new, unique materials to use such as the aluminum roofing that they used for accent pieces on the island in the kitchen and the desk in the work area of the living space. Very creative! And if you’re in the market to buy a fabulous house – check this one out on the MLS #3824206

When I pulled up outside the next project Cates Fine Homes had for me, my jaw dropped. This house was GORGEOUS! It had been a model home for the company for awhile but now is the home to a fantastic family. Both Jennifer, one of the owners of Cates Fine Homes, and I were blown away by the landscaping – truely impressive with the copper gutters and colorful plants. Even though I was there to photograph the basement, I couldn’t help but snap a couple of the outside! Then on to the inside!

Simply decorated, the basement was just as impressive as the curb appeal. The homeowner had even taken the time to get some staging props together to dress up the kitchenette a little! :-) These are a few of my favorite features of the basement – the family dog even got to have a cameo in the session! Thanks Ranger for being a great model!
